UHB's Journey Towards Becoming a High-Reliability Organization
As SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University prepares to launch its new brand and identity shortly, University Hospital of Brooklyn (UHB)—Downstate’s clinical arm—will embark on 我们关心, an initiative that will guide us towards becoming a High-Reliability Organization (HRO).
The 我们关心 journey aligns with our mission, vision, and values, and reflects our collective commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Our Strategic Plan provides the structure to accomplish and sustain the 我们关心 goal, which will strengthen UHB’s emphasis on patient safety, quality of care, health equity, workforce engagement, and the patient experience.
Working together with leadership and our entire Downstate community, we invite you to join us and empower each other to build, strengthen, and engage in process improvement to impact quality and patient safety.
The 我们关心 journey and Downstate’s new brand and identity will both reinforce the ideals of the University’s clinical, education, and research mission by focusing on improving the overall health of our communities.
